Growing up in Cook County, we spent a lot of time outdoors, hiking, hunting, and exploring the woodlands and nature preserves that make this part of Illinois special. Over the years, we watched common buckthorn silently crowd out native understory plants, block sunlight, and turn once-thriving natural areas into dense, impassable thickets.

We started Beyond Buckthorn because we believed property owners in our community deserved a reliable, knowledgeable partner to help them take their land back. Not just a crew with chainsaws, but people who understand the biology of the problem and are committed to lasting results.

Every job we take on, whether it's a small suburban woodlot or a multi-acre property, gets the same care and attention. We treat your land like it's our own, because in a sense, it is. This is our community too.
